Ghana's Electoral Commission disqualifies 13 presidential candidates

Ahead of the December 7 presidential elections, Ghana's Electoral Commission has disqualified 13 candidates from the race. This announcement was made by the EC Chairperson, Charlotte Osei who said the disqualified candidates failed to meet the necessary requirements. The disqualification leaves only four candidates in the race for Flagstaff House.

These are:  Nana Addo–Dankwa, Akufo-Addo, John Dramani Mahama, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet and Jacob Osei Yeboah. The disqualified candidates have challenged the legality of the EC's action.
